Pre Holidays 2010!

Before Christmas AJand I decided we needed a little break from life and decided it would be fun to go snowboarding. One night we had dinner with our (AJ's good, my best) friend Cassie and her boyfriend Kevin.  We hadn't seen her in a while and we'd only ever met him once, but it was a lot of catching up with them.  Then we got to Court and Tyler's house and talked for a while.
The next day we all went to my grandpa's cabin to go snowboarding, my uncle Win and aunt deedee were up there with their family and friends so the chaos was really fun.  Only AJ, Tyler, Heinz (my other cousin) and I went out snowboarding together because Court is prego and so is Heinz's wife Alecia.  It was snowing really hard, but the powder backcountry was awesome.  It would have been more awesome if I hadn't been so afraid of hitting every stinkin tree, but AJ had a blast and discovered his new love of backcountry (HELP!).  All that boy needs is another collar bone or wrist breaking injury.
After snowboarding we stayed for a while and played lots of fun group games at the cabin, then everyone watched Dispicable Me and we left.  The last morning Court made great some great waffles :) and then we headed to see Cassie's new digs and hang out with her a little longer.

AJ and I didn't want to go home quite yet, so we decided to book a hotel room at the Little America for the night just to splurge and to be spontaneous.  Yup, we were proud of ourselves! :) That night I introduced AJ to the ways of the California Pizza Kitchen (he liked it) and we got some yummy grub.

The shutter was open forever (hence the awkward stance)

Can you tell he likes Hollister?
We also saw the lights at temple square, it was so pretty but really crowded.  We headed home the next day and hit some wonderful traffic and weather so it took us about and hour and a half longer than normal, which isn't bad but still annoying.

Anyway, it was a great fun weekend just to get away and it was much needed.

Peace!
